Concept
This specific project is assigned to explore the rules of typography via graffiti, tattoo typography, and the deconstructivist style of the 1990s. The poster contains text from Jeffery Keddy’s “I LIKE THE VERNACULAR NOT”. The text focuses on the use of vernacular design as well as comments on the prevailing aesthetic of the 1990s.
As a designer, the poster is a reflection of my emotions and ideas regarding the author's remarks. The focus is not always on readability or legibility, but rather on the reaction to the material and violation of rules.
